Santa Cruz Balloon Fest

The meetings of the UC-Santa Cruz Center are focused on an annual Balloon Fest, a yearly event led by the Santa Cruz Institute for Particle Physics that uses weather balloons to collect atmospheric data for projects designed by high school students. Typically eight teams totaling more than 25 students participate.
