Danny (Metea Valley High School)
One of this year’s students, Danny, had the opportunity to work with Jeter Hall. Jeter is a Research Associate here at Fermilab and works on two dark matter searches, the Cryogenic Dark Matter Search (CDMS) and the Chicagoland Observatory for Underground Particle Physics (COUPP). Danny wrote software to operate an interferometer and fiber stretcher to record acoustic data from a bubble chamber (part of the COUPP experiment).
