QuarkNet is working with GriPhyN, a grid computing research project,
to begin to understand how the power of grid computing techniques could be
applied to secondary education. We are developing a case study based on student-driven
cosmic ray studies.
Our goals are to:
- Prepare students for the grid-enhanced world of the future. (Animation of grid-enhanced world of science.)
- Enhance student investigations and collaboration with grid virtual data
techniques.
- Inform grid computer science research through education applications.
We will create classroom notes with information and tips as students and teachers
begin to use this site.
