Mission:
Virtual LHC Fellows have two responsibilities:
To create LHC Online, a resource, beginning with Masterclasses, for teachers and students.
To establish a Virtual QuarkNet Center that will offer an LHC-oriented center for QuarkNet teachers who do not have a viable local center.

Summer '07 Workshop Goals:
LHC Online
Create an online resource (Wiki page) based on presentations from the LHC group.
Develop a "teachers' manual" for the current Masterclass.
Identify strategies for adapting and using data-driven LHC resources in the classroom.
Create an online resource on our Wiki page(s) based on the presentations from the LHC group.
Develop a dissemination plan.
VIrtual LHC Center
Design the Virtual QuarkNet Center.
Develop a implementation plan.

Homework:
Subscribe to CMS Times and ATLAS e-News. Find URLs under LHC Links on Teacher Fellows page.
Password needed for ATLAS e-News . . . we are working on that.
April 16
Create a VLHC Note on our Wiki. Find at least one interesting item in CMS Times, ATLAS e-News, or other LHC-related resource for your comments.
Find "VLHC Notes" in the VLHC Wkiw navigation bar on the left. Follow the instructions on the page and edit.
Your Note should be one paragraph.
You will need a VLHC Wiki Login and password.
May 1
Participate in a videoconference on EVO. You must have sound and video on a computer with fast internet access. You will also need a camera, microphone, and speakers or headset.
E-mail Ken if you lack any of these.
Go to the VLHC Wiki and choose For All Users in the Navigation bar.
Go to EVO and then choose the Register button.
Let Ken know when you are done.

Participate in VLHC group chat. If you do not have AOL Instant Messenger, go to For All Users and follow the AOL Instant Messenger link to download.
